Initial Chat

Every bespoke piece starts with a chat, a chat about your ideas and wants. Whether it is a ring, pendent, brooch, earrings, anything. From this initial discussion of design ideas, any reference images you have, budget and time frame I will then go away and work on some sketches, these initial sketches can be adjusted and amended until we get the perfect design for your piece.

The Design…

Once we’ve gone through the design process and settled on the design from the sketches ill then do a final gouache painting; This rendering will be a to-scale painting of the final design and will be the closest thing to the finished, physical article. The rendering doesn't come with the final piece but it can be arranged if you’d like.

The Piece itself…

The materials I work in for bespoke pieces are 18ct and 22ct gold, 18ct white gold and platinum. Sometimes the stone sourcing is done before the design phase if there is a specific stone your after but in general, After the rendering has been completed and providing we don’t already have the gem, then comes the stone sourcing process. I will visit one of my stone dealers and source a few examples that fit the design and budget. A meeting is then arranged at the studio or over messages for you to view the stones. Once the selection is done, then comes the fun part of making.

The process to making a piece. This ring is in 18ct gold and set with a 1.13 pale Padparadscha Sapphire,
